Are you looking to contribute your time and skills to a group of like minded people? Become a member of our club and participate in functions and help others to learn and contribute.

Adult membership is open to anyone over the age of 16. An initial joining fee and an annual membership fee apply. Junior membership for those aged 12 - 16 is available, with parental supervision.


Our clubroom is home to a variety of equipment for gem cutting, faceting, polishing, silversmithing, etc.


The club has active field trip organisers and skilled and motivated instructors to make your time with the club enjoyable and productive


We have a range of minerals and specimens on display in our clubroom

Opening times:

We are currently setting up the new venue in Robinsons Rd, thus the listed open times are not in action

  • Wednesday 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Thursday 10:00am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday 10:00am until 4:00pm

The club provides a range of activities for all ages


Classes are run on a regular basis for active members (subject to a waiting list). The following courses are available:

  • Faceting
  • Cabochon cutting
  • Opal carving
  • Chain weaving
  • Silversmithing


Established for over 50 years, Frankston and Peninsula Lapidary Club is now situated on Robinsons Rd Frankston; at Robinsons Park, in the first building (the old baseball club) as you drive in on the right.
